Wow. Two blogs in one day, but I just couldn't abstain. I've become intrigued by this Youtuber who calls himself Daxflame, or Bernice Juach III. When I first watched some of his videos I was like: Erm. What a weirdo. And I had no idea why he's like, the 20th most subcribed person on Youtube. He is, by all appearances, a scrawny, pale, socially inept 15-year-old boy possibly affected by autism of Asperger's Syndrome. He wears short shorts, throws fits, laughs at inappropriate moments and makes jokes that are quite scary in their lameness. But after 3 or 4 videos, something just didn't click. Sometimes Dax sounded French, and sometimes he sounded fluently American. Sometimes he behaved so oddly, and other times I could see glimpses of what seemed like an ordinary teenage boy. Apparently there's a bit of controversy over whether this Daxflame persona is real or fake. There have been an inflood of expose videos "proving" that he is, in fact, an baseball-playing kid named Madison Patrello whose family is in showbiz. The proof is pretty convincing, but it's not cinching, and unlike Lonelygirl15 and other Youtube hoaxes, Dax hasn't come forward and admitted anything. Personally? I think I'm leaning more towards the 'he's-an-actor' side. After stalking him a bit (hm, I'm going to cop a lot for that), I've realised that the way he behaves just doesn't all click. But then I stumbled upon this video of him interviewing another Youtuber, LisaNova. And for most of the video he is the usual awkward Dax. But at one point in the video he makes this expression: 
I don't know. Maybe I'm overanalysing and hypothesising. But, to me, that doesn't seem like an expression that a fumbling, autistic, socially inept person would make. It was a definite eyebrow lift (haha :P), an expression of secrecy, of amusement and (when used by Megan) flirtation. [Also, during the video LisaNova can't stop stifling her laughter. If Dax was for real, I don't think she would laugh at him like that. Normal people don't laugh at awkward, geeky, possibly mentally impaired kids...she laughs as though she knows he's acting.] Anyway. I am not wanting to see Daxflame defamed, or anything like that. I really do hope he is an actor, because if he's real then I think he might need some professional help. But if he is the actor Madison Patrello, then I think he's absolutely brilliant and very talented. To be only 15 and able to portray such a difficult and intriguing personality--it's such a feat. I am so curious! I want to know what Dax's real personality is like. Haha--I'm so intrigued! It's like a TIM TANG RIDDLE!
